Above picture - top handle: 3/4" cork Tennessee handle (tape the reel on the handle with electrical tape and you are able to balance the reel with the rod and put the reel in your comfort zone). Women and children find this handle very comfortable.

The second rod down from the top: Tennessee style cork handle is the standard 15/16th high density cork. This is the most commonly ordered Tennessee style handle. Excellent for comfort and the ultimate in sensitivity.

The third handle from top: The most common for spinning reels is the graphite reelseat. Generally The spinning rods are constructed with a 4-6 inch butt grip and a 21/2" foregrip, but can be customized for your needs. Reels are on/off with ease.

Bottom handle: The graphite finger grip reelseat is used for casting and trolling rods fitted with baitcasting reels. Longer butts in 6-9" range on these rods with a 21/2" foregrip are standard but can be customized.

I use titanium guides on rods for the ultimate in light weight sensitivity.

Rods can be custom lengths and tailored to techniques. Ultra-light rods for crappies and pan fish will range from 5ft to 6'6" depending on your needs/wants. Most jigging rods (spinning) will be 6', 6'3" or 6'6" and the action matched to your desire (i.e.. fast taper, light action, light-medium action, or medium action) Live bait rigging rods (spinning) will be 6'6", 6'9", or 7ft with light action tips and a solid backbone (perfect walleye rigging rods!) Most "combination" type (made for both rigging or jigging) will be 6'6" Casting/trolling rods will typically be 6'6" to 7ft. (8ft depends on blank availability and will cost extra) I use the highest quality high density graphite blanks to build your fishing rod. I have many thread colors to choose from (most common are black, blue, gold, and cherry red) so you can customize your rod accent color to your liking.....even pink for some of the ladies! All rods come with a 1/2" hook holder positioned by the handle. Spinning Rods are $100 plus the cost of shipping. Baitcasting rods are $120 plus the cost of shipping. Contact me and we can build the best fishing rod you will ever use!
